New beverage brand Turtle Sodas is launching a range of soft drinks with zero sugar, artificial sweeteners or calories.
Going on sale in the UK this month, the stevia-sweetened line will be available in three flavours: mango, pineapple and lime.
Packaged in aluminium cans, the Turtle Sodas range has been developed to reflect consumers’ developing tastes and is made without fruit juice.
Turtle Sodas said that as consumers become increasingly health aware and environmentally conscious, it offers “the perfect merger of being a delicious, healthy soft drink and a brand with a meaningful conservation mission”.
To support its conservation credentials, the brand is pledging to reduce the threat of endangerment to sea turtles and by the end of 2025 will have educated more than 10,000 people on ways they can change their everyday actions to help sea turtles.
To reach its goal, Turtle Sodas will work with charity partners to deliver more than 200 lectures in schools, businesses and through webinars.
“There is a huge shift happening in the drinks sector. With increasing awareness about the harm of sugar, artificial sweeteners and alcohol, drinks businesses need to start radically innovating on a product level,” said Caitlin Egen, founder of Turtle Sodas.
“Turtle Sodas was born from a personal frustration at the lack of great-tasting soft drinks that didn’t rely on sugar or additives to achieve their flavour profiles. Turtle Sodas is a zero-compromise brand, and I believe that you don’t need to compromise on flavour for health, and certainly shouldn’t have to compromise on ethics for business.
“Our conservation mission is the driving force that runs through our brand, from our name to our impact.”
