Personalised snack box delivery company, SnackMagic, has raised $15 million in a Series A Funding round led by Craft Ventures, with participation from Luxor Capital.
SnackMagic was established in 2020 by the founder of corporate lunch delivery service, Stadium, to adapt to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on office work.
SnackMagic offers personalised snack boxes that feature an array of food and drink products. The company serves corporate clients such as Toyota, Google and Microsoft, who can manage and send snack boxes to employees and customers in any location. Recipients can then build their boxes to ensure they receive the snacks and drinks they desire.
The company claims that it will use the new funding to build warehouse capacity and logistics support for its product range in order to meet growing demand.
A statement from the company also highlighted its intention to broaden its “build-your-own-box” concept to feature new product categories such as meal kits, alcoholic beverage kits, dessert kits and more.
SnackMagic founder and CEO, Shaunak Amin said: “Stadium was growing double digits month over month but by mid-March 2020, the pandemic forced revenue off a steep cliff. We had a few days of despair and then a light bulb went off: the platform we had built for Stadium could be repurposed to support the exploding work-from-home trend and corporate gifting. SnackMagic was born.
“Our unique approach to gifting adds a delightful layer of fun as consumers curate their dream box. As our corporate customers and universities are showing us, the use cases for SnackMagic are endless.”
