Phivida has released a new range of hemp oil-infused iced teas which are designed to improve gut health.
The range is aimed at consumers who suffer from conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, as the the company claims the cannabinoids contained in the drink provide effective relief for the condition.
Available in three flavours: Green tea mint, lemon ginger and peach & passion fruit, the drinks are made with organic loose leaf green tea and contain 25 vitamins and minerals.
Phivida’s Iced Tea range will be available from stores in the US and Japan, as well as online.
Dr Chris Meletis, Phivida clinical advisor said: “The global health care community is paying close attention to cannabidiol (CBD) and gut health.
“Phivida presented a lecture on the connection between cannabinoids and the gut-brain system at the Global A4M Conference and the response was very positive.
“The GI tract has endocannabinoid receptors for a reason as CBD studies show strong clinical outcomes in the treatment of gut health.”
