Pork pie manufacturer Pork Farms will return to television screens for the first time in more than ten years, with a £1 million investment in a new advertising campaign.
The campaign will air at peak times across the UK from 1 July. The above-the-line TV campaign will feature a particular focus on British destinations, including Brighton pier, the Lake District, the white cliffs of Dover, and Hampshire’s Highclere Castle – better known as Downton Abbey.
The investment follows the publication of new research that suggested Pork Farms’ pork pie was the UK’s favourite.
“We felt the locations of the Pork Farms campaign, which are all well-loved British destinations, were a perfect setting for the TV ads, which celebrate a favourite British product,” the brand said.
The advertising push will also link to Pork Farms’ Hidden Gems PR and digital campaign, featuring unknown treasures alongside the well-known British destinations from the TV ads. Consumers are invited to submit their own “hidden gems”, revealing Britain’s top three secret locations, which will feature in the 2017 Pork Farms marketing campaign.
“You know where you are with a Pork Farms pork pie, and at Pork Farms we are dedicated to producing traditional British pork pies,” said Pork Farms head of markets Kim Burgess.
