Rosali Tea has celebrated the launch of its tea-of-the-month club, which brings consumers in the US a range of exotic teas from around the world.
Unlike other tea clubs, Rosali Tea emphasises small-batch teas of the highest quality with tasting notes and detailed stories about each tea to bring them to life, the San Francisco-based brand said. Its launch follows a successful 30-day Kickstarter campaign during which it raised $23,000 for the project in October.
“Following the third wave of coffee, people moved from commodity coffee towards artisanal choices such as Blue Bottle and Philz,” said Rosali Tea founder Rosa Li said.
“Much like what had happened in the coffee and chocolate space, tea is now going through a renaissance.”
Since Starbucks bought Teavana in 2012 for $620m, tea drinking has been on the rise in the US as consumers seek the energy boost of coffee and the nutritional boost of green juice in a single, calorie-free beverage.
Rosali Tea has said that it wants to bring better tea to everyone’s doorsteps so that they can enjoy a moment of calm in their busy lives. Every box is curated to deliver three new teas to members, and is also focused on educating consumers about the flavours and health benefits associated with each leaf. Deliveries start from $15.
