US dairy company Shamrock Farms has unveiled Swirled, a chocolate milk that blends dairy and plant-based ingredients.
Available in two flavours – chocolate coconut and chocolate almond coconut – Swirled features a blend of cocoa, coconut cream and almonds, along with dairy milk.
The new offering is said to be free from artificial ingredients and growth hormones such as rBST.
According to Shamrock Farms, the ‘indulgent hybrid’ offers less sugar than the leading chocolate milk and contains healthy fats found in coconut cream and almonds.
Available in a 12oz on-the-go format, as well as a 32oz size, Swirled can be found at US retail stores, including select Redner’s, Weis, Safeway, Albertsons and Giant Food locations.
“With Shamrock Farms Swirled, we’re putting a new twist on chocolate milk by blending sweet and creamy coconut, the richness of real almonds and fresh milk into one drink,” said Ann Ocaña, chief marketing officer for Shamrock Farms.
“Swirled is a delicious, upscale take on the classic beverage and answers an unmet need of many adults who love chocolate milk but are looking for something more decadent yet still healthy. With an uncompromising flavour, it’s perfect for those who are plant-curious or plant-based but crave the benefits and taste of real milk.”
Last year, Shamrock Farms unveiled new additions to its Rockin’ Protein range.
