SodaStream has introduced the newest and most advanced incarnation of its carbonated beverage maker – the only machine in the range that is electrically powered.
SodaStream Power uses electricity and touch technology to enable consumers to craft sparkling water in seconds. The redesigned 1l bottle locks into place with a single-push snap lock mechanism; the strength of carbonation is visible through an LED display, providing instant visual feedback that allows consumers to customise levels of carbonation between three pre-programmed presets.
Designed in collaboration with Swiss designer Yves Béhar, the machine’s elegant and stylish body is crafted from stainless and anodised aluminium. It is available in two different colour options: black and white.
Launching this month, the Power has a recommended retail price of £149.99 and can be used to produce a range of more than 50 varieties of sparkling water.
SodaStream CEO Daniel Birnbaum said: “Our goal has always been to put the power into the user’s hands, allowing them to making sparkling water at home on demand. We also wanted to make sure that the newest addition to the family was easy to use, innovative and beautiful – something that looks good in any kitchen. With Power, we think we’ve achieved all of these things and the touch technology behind it means that consumers can finally enjoy sparkling water at a single touch of a button!”
