For Halloween, The Collective has unveiled Spiced Pumpkin Limited Edition Live Gourmet Yoghurt, with an RRP of £2.39 for a 500g pot.
The fast-expanding Halloween market was valued at £325m in 2013 following year-on-year growth of 12% (according to Planet Retail). After Christmas and Easter, Halloween is now the third biggest seasonal event of the year.
However, until now, the dairy industry hasn’t been as proactive as other categories in capitalising on this key buying occasion, according to The Collective.
The Spiced Pumpkin Limited Edition pairs The Collective’s gourmet yogurt with sweet pumpkin compote, orange zest, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. This follows the launch of the Blackcurrant & Beetroot Edition earlier this year.
“The Halloween market is rapidly growing in the UK,”said co-founder Amelia Harvey. “We have created our Limited Edition Spiced Pumpkin yogurt to provide consumers and retailers with a dairy option during this key seasonal event.
“Innovation is at the heart of our business and this new yogurt is true to form. The spotlight has mainly been on the confectionery category up until now, and we want to bring a bit of fun, tasty innovation to the yogurt aisle.”
Spiced Pumpkin is free from artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Only 5% fat, it’s suitable for vegetarian and gluten-free diets and is packed with lives cultures.
Available in Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, The Co-op, Ocado, Whole Foods, Booths and Nisa.
