Independent iced tea company Sweet Sally has launched a new citrus-flavoured iced tea in time for summer.
Available in the UK, the new beverage offering consists of refreshing orange and lemon flavours, and can be enjoyed straight up, shaken over ice or mixed with a spirit of the consumer’s choice. It was the perfect drinks “as the days get longer,” the London-based company said.
Sweet Sally Tea introduced traditional American Southern spiced tea last year, which is now being served in more than 30 leading venues across the capital and positioned as a refreshing alternative to carbonated, sugar-laden sodas and juices.
The brand was created by Mississippi-born Nicole Vaughan, who moved to London three years ago. Growing up in the South meant every occasion with family and friends would be accompanied by iced tea, Sweet Sally explained. With a passion for the diverse food and drink stories in London, she decided to share some of her Southern American heritage with her new home city and, coupling this passion with a commitment to only use the best possible ingredients, Sweet Sally Tea was born.
