Taylors of Harrogate has launched a new limited-edition iced coffee blend, designed to bring added excitement to the the filter cafetière market.
The new blend, which will be available in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Waitrose between May and September, has been created to provide consumers with an inexpensive way to replicate increasingly popular out-of-home equivalents.
It is made using a blend of roast and ground Arabica beans sourced from Central and South America, Africa and Indonesia, and has been specially developed to be served cold over ice with milk.
Taylors of Harrogate marketing executive Carly Sunderland said: “We’re always looking to innovate and offer new customer experiences, injecting new life and excitement into what has become quite a static sector. We did it recently through the creation of our highest caffeine coffee yet, High Voltage, and we’re doing it again with the unveiling of our latest limited edition offering, our Iced Coffee blend.
“Our new creation was born out of the insight that a lot of consumers reduce or stop drinking hot coffee during the warmer summer months. Our Iced Coffee creates a new occasion to drink coffee, providing them with a refreshing summertime alternative, which they can prepare in the comfort of their own homes.
“We hope this latest addition to our range will encourage consumers to try something new and different, exciting existing filter cafetière fans and bringing new ones into the category.”
Taylors’ iced coffee, which is 100% Rainforest Alliance certified, will be available with a recommended retail price of £3.49 for a 227g pack.
