The dairy food sector in Sweden is forecast to grow by a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 2% in 2012-2017 in terms of value, and by a CAGR of 1.4% in terms of volume for the same period.
Milk had the largest volume share and second largest value share in 2012, at 64.3% and 25.7% respectively, followed by cheese with the largest value share at 28.6% and cream with the second largest volume share at 9.5%.
Yogurt will show the most increase in both value and volume, with a CAGR of 3.1% for value and 1.8% for volume during 2012-2017. Yogurt is in third place in terms of overall value and volume share of the Dairy Food sector in Sweden.
Butter & spreadable fats will witness the least change in value and volume, at CAGRs of just 1.0% and 0.8% respectively; it also had the second lowest value and volume shares in 2012, at 9.0% and 5.6% respectively, only beating the value share of puddings/desserts, which stood at 3.5%, and equal to the volume share of cheese, with 5.6%.
