US-based Tillamook County Creamery Association has launched a new range of ice cream sandwiches.
Tillamookies combine waffle cone cookies, dark chocolate and rich ice cream. The new frozen treats will initially be available in four flavours: chocolate hazelnut, mint chocolate chip, Oregon strawberry and vanilla bean. They will retail in packs of four individually wrapped 3.5oz units for a suggested retail price of $4.99.
Tillamook’s category manager Sibel Candemir said: “Tillamookies tap into the growing demand for handheld treats and deliver a dose of delicious nostalgia with waffle cone cookies, just like a waffle cone you’d find in an ice cream shop. We take pride in being able to offer indulgences made with real ingredients that consumers can feel good about taking home to their families.”
The company takes its name from the town west of Portland, Oregon in which it is based. Founded in 1909, the farmer-owned cooperative continues a proud history of dairy farming in the area that extends back as far as the 1850s. It produces a range of yogurts, butters, cheeses and ice cream products.
