Amplify Snack Brands-owned Tyrrells will release posh prawn cocktail-flavoured crisps which are flavoured with a dash of brandy.
Tyrrells said it prides itself on creating unique flavours and the new variant is said to be in keeping with its signature style of British favourites.
Available at in 150g bags from Waitrose, Ocado and independent retailers as of 30 April, the crisps will retail at £2.19. A 40g pack will launch later this year.
Tyrrells managing director Adam Draper said: “We are thrilled to introduce posh prawn cocktail. Prawn cocktail crisps have always been one of the nation’s favourite, but no one has introduced a premium version. That’s why we have created our new and delicious posh prawn cocktail – a British classic with a twist.”
In a statement, Tyrrells said: “The Tyrrells hand-cooked potato crisps range is made in small batches from locally grown, seasonal varieties of potatoes at Tyrrells Court Farm in Herefordshire. Hand-cooked and seasoned to perfection with the finest, specially selected ingredients, the crisps boast a unique curl, crunch and taste.”
