Tanya’s Just Real has introduced a ‘first-of-its-kind’ range of fresh cold-pressed sauces in Waitrose & Partners stores across the UK.
With no added salt, refined sugar or preservatives, the range can be enjoyed hot or cold as sauces, marinades, dressings and dips.
Packed with fresh vegetables, herbs and fruit, the products are prepared using ‘high pressure processing’, more commonly known as cold-pressed. According to Tanya’s Just Real, this method significantly extends the shelf life and ensures that the nutritional values, taste and textural qualities of the fresh ingredients are retained.
The initial launch features a trio of flavours – Fiery Fiasco, Teriyaki Malarkey and Smokey Cokey – while from 16th June, three additional flavours will become available: Beetroot Cahoot, Minted Mayhem and Cucumber Blunder.
Suitable for vegans, the sauces are free-from wheat, gluten, dairy and lactose and can be stored in the fridge for 30 days (14 days once opened).
Prior to the launch, the company completed a crowdfunding round which saw the sauces re-launch to the market from its original name of The Saucy Affair to Tanya’s Just Real. Waitrose is the first major listing for the brand since its refresh.
The company was founded by Tanya Lambert who as a mother-of-two struggled to find quick and easy family mealtime solutions that offered the same health benefits as preparing dishes from scratch.
“We want families to enjoy nutritious food bursting with flavour without the stress, mess and waste involved in meal preparation – Tanya’s Just Real is, very simply, cooking from scratch in a bottle. All six of our products in Waitrose offer exceptional versatility, making them more than just another sauce,” said Tanya.
With an RRP of £3.00, the sauces have been launched on promotion for £2.25 in 200 Waitrose & Partners stores nationwide.
