US Foods has agreed to acquire foodservice distributor All American Foods, which operates in the northeast of the US.
The Rhode Island-based distributor offers more than 4,000 individual products to nearly 1,000 customers in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut. It generated annual sales of nearly $60 million and operates a 65,000-square-foot production facility in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.
The addition of All American Foods will further enhance US Food’s ability to serve customers in the northeast region – an area of the country heavily populated with independent restaurants, US Foods claimed.
John O’Carroll, northeast region president for US Foods, said: “The growth All American Foods has experienced over the last three decades is proof that their business model and commitment to customer service is strong. We are looking forward to building on All American Foods’ already strong reputation and bringing an even better experience to foodservice operators throughout southern New England.”
The transaction is expected to close at the end of February. Both parties have agreed not to disclose financial terms of the deal.
