Alabama iced tea brand Milo’s has introduced Café Style, a new range of organic teas available in the refrigerated section of stores across the US.
Packaged in 59oz carafes, Milo’s Café Style organic teas are freshly brewed from custom-blended organic tea leaves and sweetened with organic cane sugar, or a blend of organic cane sugar and organic stevia.
The newly introduced sweet, light sweet, green citrus and light green citrus flavours are an organic complement to Milo’s famous sweet tea that founders Milo and Be a Carlton began brewing and selling 70 years ago. The green citrus and light green citrus teas are the company’s first green tea offerings. Both light teas are only 35 calories per cup, the brand said.
“Our loyal Milo’s customers reached out to us,” said Milo’s Tea CEO Tricia Wallwork, who is also the granddaughter of the company’s founder. “They called, emailed, contacted us through social media and communicated to their local grocery stores that they wanted the same great Milo’s Tea flavour using organic ingredients and also green teas. So that’s what we have created.
“Organic and green teas were a natural next step for Milo’s. Our teas have always been free of preservatives, acids, additives, and GMOs, so creating a new organic product that our customers want was easy.”
USDA’s national organic programme has verified that the ingredients and the brewing and bottling processes all comply with the US Department of Agriculture’s organic regulations.
