Wholesale buying group Fairway Foodservice has expanded its foodservice portfolio in response to consumer demand.
More than 20 new products – including meat, chicken and premium seafood items – were introduced following the company’s networking event in September. It claimed that the new products “will help Fairway Foodservice customers meet the latest trends in the foodservice industry”.
The products include chicken yakitori skewers and hoisin duck rolls, gourmet steak burgers and a crab and lobster burger, as well as prawn kievs, Scottish seeded salmon, West country whitebait fillets and Mediterranean seabass. Although the majority of the new additions are meat, poultry or fish-based, there is additionally a white chocolate and raspberry pastry and individually wrapped muffins.
Keith Hepton, purchasing manager for Fairway Foodservice, said: “We’re very proud of the quality of the products available to our members, and our new lines demonstrate Fairway Foodservice’s commitment to offering outstanding quality at a competitive price across a range of goods.
“We’re striving to ensure that all products available through Fairway Foodservice is recognised as the benchmark other buying groups aspire towards, and the addition of these new products represents another step towards this target.”
