Since January 2013, there has been a new, 450 sq m complex at its headquarters in Aachen, comprising a modern development and test bakery including offices, cold rooms and storerooms.
The generously designed facility is described as being ‘state of the art’ in terms of technology, so as to develop and manufacture all kinds of applications in fine baked goods and confectionery in conjunction with the end product.
The investment into the modern baking laboratory is key for Zentis in the development of its collaborative partnerships with customers. It is therefore able to respond to the wishes of partners in the baking trade and industry in a more individualised manner, and to offer tailored products.
“The new development and test bakery now makes it possible for us to run comprehensive experiments and tests with new fillings and preparations, while at the same time checking all the relevant organoleptic properties,” said Dietmar Otte, director of the production, technology, research and development, purchasing and quality assurance/management segments at Zentis. “This allows us to take a further significant step forward in product development and means that we can respond to customer wishes more specifically.”
