Drinks producer Zuma has launched a non-dairy vanilla bean frappé powder, which gives foodservice operators a “staple base” for creating smoothies and frappé recipes.
The powder lends a thick, smooth and consistently delicious character to iced blended drinks, the brand said. As the powder is vegan-friendly, bars and restaurants only need to use milk alternatives such as soya, almond milk or rice milk in order to offer vegan consumers an alternative iced beverage. The powder is packaged in 2kg tubs.
The products contains no hydrogenated fats; artificial colours, flavours or preservatives; and is approved by the Vegetarian and Vegan Society. Zuma has exhibited the development at the London Coffee Festival, which took place between 30 April and 3 May.
A brand spokesperson said: “Adding frappés to your cold drinks menu gives you the chance to offer your customers more variety and is ideal for boosting your sales in the summer. You can mix frappés with smoothies, syrups and espressos to create unique drinks for your menu, or you can take them as they are; Zuma frappé powders are flavoursome whichever way you decide to serve.”
