The Naked Marshmallow Co has launched a trio of ‘boozy’ alcohol-infused marshmallows.
The new flavours have been released just in time for Mother’s Day, which is celebrated in the UK next month. They include raspberry and prosecco, elderflower and London gin, and espresso martini – all available directly from Naked Marshmallow with a price of £7.50 for a 100g pack.
The three flavours are made using real prosecco, gin and coffee liqueur. They are all handmade in the UK by artisan producers; the raspberry and fizzy prosecco marshmallow is cut to size before being rolled in ripe raspberry powder, while the espresso martini variety is finished with nibbed cacao and crushed coffee beans.
They are completely natural, with no artificial colours or flavours.
Naked Marshmallow founder Joseph Colson told FoodBev: “With three flavours to choose from you will find the perfect marshmallows to suit your mum whatever her tipple of choice. Better still, you could buy her all three of these luxurious, melt-in-the-mouth, gorgeously gooey marshmallows… it is Mother’s Day after all.”
The alcohol-infused marshmallows come less than half a year after the brand launched two marshmallow-infused alcohols: a marshmallow vodka and marshmallow gin, both infused with different flavours of the brand’s handmade confections, with an ABV of 21%.
FoodBev spoke to Colson and co-founder Ollie Rendall at IFE in 2015, shortly after the pair had debuted their innovative flavours of marshmallow and explained their company’s unique start to life.
The original line-up included vanilla, eton mess, salted caramel, candy floss, bubblegum, lemon meringue, coconut, fruits of the forest and peppermint and dark chocolate variants.
