The new minced beef and onion pie is one of two family-sized variants being launched by the brand.
Welsh bakery brand Peter’s has launched a new family-sized version of two of its most popular fillings.
Designed for sharing, the new 500g pies are available in corned beef, and minced beef and onion varieties. Topped with puff pastry, the pies will deliver a “heat and eat” ethos to families across Wales which will mean they can spend less time cooking.
The new family pies from Peter’s have a recommended retail price of £2.49 and are now available in selected Tesco stores across Wales. Its launch will be supported by an integrated PR and marketing campaign, the Caerphilly-based company said.
Peter’s commercial director James Osgood said: “Consumers love Peter’s puff pastry pies and we wanted to help families ‘make a meal’ of them. As well as being enjoyed as a lunchtime dish or a snack on the go, the new range will put them centre stage at teatime. We are confident that these larger products, which have been developed as part of a £0.8m investment, will have mass appeal across Wales.
“Peter’s understands that consumers’ lifestyles are becoming increasingly busier and coming together after a long day at work or school to enjoy a meal at the dinner table is precious time. The new products reflect this and allow families to make the most of this valuable family time.”
