Addo Food Group has launched a new pack of mini pork pies topped with a sweet chilli glaze, as part of its Topped Pies range.
The new Pork Farms sweet chilli pork pies will be available from 6 May at McColls and Nisa, with an introductory price of £1.
Their introduction follows a recent usage and attitudes research project, which revealed that variety and new flavour developments were high on the list of demands by consumers across the chilled savoury pastry category. The latest addition would “tap into this growing trend for twists on classic favourites”, the brand said.
And Kim Burgess, head of markets for Addo Food Group, continued: “We have found that our customers enjoy the debate of ‘how do you eat yours?’ and ‘Wwhich accompaniment is the perfect match to the pork pie?’ Our chefs at Pork Farms have listened to our customers by developing the sweet chilli Topped Pies meeting ‘foodie’ credentials and delivering the mini Topped Pies as the perfect new picnic and party food.”
