Nestlé Confectionery’s flagship brand, KitKat, has announced the latest flavour to join its Chunky range: New York cheesecake.
The bar is said to have a balance of sweet vanilla and tanginess from a New York-style cheesecake dessert. Nestlé said the flavour is on-trend as it aims to bring new consumers to the KitKat brand.
The latest launch forms part of the company’s strategy to excite consumers by rotating new flavours each year. Last year KitKat Chunky cookie dough was introduced.
A £1.2 million media campaign will support the latest product, which Nestlé hopes will be seen by over 40 million people.
The new bar will be available across the UK from 18 September with a recommended retail price of 65p, the same as the milk chocolate KitKat Chunky.
Earlier this year, Nestlé launched a peanut butter flavour of its shareable KitKat Bites.
