Barilla has expanded its Wasa crispbread range with the launch of new Wasa Thins, which, despite their name, have been described as a “hearty snack cracker” that combines whole grains with wholesome and nutritious ingredients.
Available initially in two flavours – sesame and sea salt, and rosemary and sea salt – the crispbreads are lightly seasoned before being oven-baked for a great crunch. Designed to be enjoyed straight from the box, Wasa Thins are the perfect snack for the home, office or on-the-go consumption, the brand claimed.
They are conveniently packed into two separate stay-fresh pouches, making them a smart and convenient snack choice for those leading a healthy, active lifestyle. Continuing Wasa’s commitment to high-quality, easily recognisable ingredients, the new thins are clean label and boast the goodness of whole grains, no added sugar, zero cholesterol and no artificial flavours.
Each pack carries the Whole Grain Council Seal, showing 8g or more of whole grains for natural fibre, and just one serving helps people meet at least 25% of their daily recommended intake of whole grains. Just like Wasa’s crispbreads, they are also a valuable source of carbohydrates and protein.
“Wasa Thins deliver everything that snackers crave – crunch, wholesomeness and great taste,” said Wasa USA senior brand manager Jenny Mehlman. “By adding the whole grain goodness and nutrition Wasa is known for, we’ve made a perfect snack option for today’s active, health-conscious consumer. It’s easy to snack smart when all of this is in the convenience of one package of Wasa Thins.”
Wasa Thins are available in the speciality cracker aisle across the US, with a suggested retail price of $2.99.
