Bordeaux-based brand Cacolac has partnered with one of France’s oldest confectioners, Dupont D’Isigny, to launch Cacolac caramel.
The new chocolate milk-based drink comprises three prime ingredients carefully selected by the two partners: fresh milk from the Lot-et-Garonne region in South West France; cocoa from the same supplier Cacolac has used for 60 years; and fresh caramel cream from Normandy. The drink contains no artificial colours or preservatives and is only made from natural, high-quality ingredients.
This development comes following a survey by Cacolac, in which the idea of a caramel variety was very well received by consumers: 55% of those asked said they would buy Cacolac caramel, even though 25% of this total did not consider themselves regular Cacolac buyers.
Since 1937, the caramel created by Dupont d’Isigny has been a “benchmark” in the world of confectionery.
Cacolac caramel is available in packs of four 20cl cans at a recommended retail price of €3.96.
