US-based convenience food manufacturer Castle Kitchen has released a new plant-based protein pancake mix for the North American market.
Suitable for vegans, the new Protein Packed Plain Jane Vanilla mix has been created to respond to the growing demand for high-protein convenience foods.
The new mix expands Caste Kitchen’s product portfolio, which includes other protein pancake and hot chocolate mixes.
Protein Packed Plain Jane Vanilla will be available from retailers across Canada, online and nationwide at US speciality food store UNFI.
Castle Kitchen founder, Ken Kaiman said: “People choose our brand because they want to give their family the healthiest food options that kids and parents can both enjoy together.
“It has been a goal of ours to add a plant-based protein to our family of products. There are so many health-conscious families looking to add a protein to their diet.
“With our new pancake mix we are thrilled to be able to fill this demand and continue our commitment to create fun, healthy and inclusive, great tasting food.”
