The new products are Sunny Oat & Raison Cookie Mix, Awesome Wholesome Brownie Mix, Granola Energy Bar Mix, and Blueberry & Vanilla Muffin Mix.
The products are sold in delis and specialty shops, including Whole Foods and Partridges in Kensington, and are distributed through Marigold Health Foods. The baking mixes will also be distributed by Yorkshire-based company Shepcote from July.
Research from Mintel shows that home baking is on the rise, with 22% of Brits saying they have increased their baking. 41 million people bake at home at least once a week.
The younger generation emerge as the keenest bakers. Some 79% of 16-24-year-olds bake from scratch compared with 70% of those aged 55 and over.
However, youngsters prefer the ready-prepared baking mixes. The proportion of consumers who bake using mixes is 74% of 16-24-year-olds but just 57% of those aged 55 and over.
