Irish health food brand Nobó has announced it is launching into Whole Foods Market UK with Frozen Goodness, its unique range of coconut- and avocado-based dairy-free ice creams.
From today, three flavours will be available from the retailer: fresh lemon, passionfruit and mango, and vanilla and coconut. Each tub will feature a recommended retail price of £5.95.
Nobó will be supporting the launch with a number of in-store tastings across the Whole Foods estate, along with a price promotion shortly after launch. The brand is also working with a number of influential blogger and supporting health and fitness events in London.
The brand was created by husband and wife team Brian (left) and Rachel Nolan.
Nobó co-founder Brian Nolan commented: “We are extremely excited about launching into Whole Foods. We have always admired their philosophy and approach to food and feel that Nobó’s ethos is very aligned with theirs. We get daily requests from customers in the UK looking for Nobó so it’s great to be able to point them in the direction of their nearest Whole Foods.”
“It was always somewhere we shopped in while living in NYC and we were always inspired by their diverse and exciting food offering,” added Nobó co-founder Rachel Nolan. At that time it was a dream of ours to launch a food brand and have it available from there. So for us personally it means a huge amount.”
The company is the brainchild of the Dublin-based husband and wife team who left their careers in finance and advertising to realise their ambition of starting up a food business back in their native Ireland. After nearly two years in development with the support of the Food Works programme – a joint initative between Bord Bia, Enterprise Ireland and Teagasc to support food entrepreneurs – the company’s Frozen Goodness range was launched in a limited number of health food shops in the capital in November 2013.
The company has experienced rapid expansion since then and the Frozen Goodness range is now available in more than 450 stores across Ireland, the UAE and the UK.
