It has unveiled the new ‘Royal Munchkin’, while sister brand Baskin-Robbins, is offering a festive Baby Shower Cake.
The Royal Munchkin is Dunkin’ Donuts’ newest addition to its family of Munchkin varieties – an old-fashioned Munchkin donut hole treat dipped in pink, blue and white sprinkles representing traditional new baby colours.
The Royal Munchkin will be available for a limited time at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide.
Baskin-Robbins’ Baby Shower Cake is designed with baby booties and can be customised with a person’s favourite combination of Baskin-Robbins ice cream and cake flavours. The 9-inch round cake is available year-round at participating Baskin-Robbins locations across the United States.
In the UK, participating Baskin-Robbins restaurants will offer a new Royal Baby signature ice cream cake, priced at the weight of the royal baby – £8.60.
Available for a limited time, the Royal Baby Cake features caramel chocolate crunch ice cream and chocolate cake, and is decorated with a chocolate frosting ribbon, a white chocolate bow, and gold chocolate candies.
According to Dunkin’ Brands CEO and chairman Nigel Travis, a dual US and British citizen born and raised in Woodford, Essex, the brands’ baby-themed menu items offer guests an opportunity to join this summer’s worldwide celebration. “For decades, people have turned to Dunkin’ Donuts’ donuts and baked goods, and Baskin-Robbins’ cakes and ice cream, to make any moment a little sweeter.
“Our Royal Munchkin and Baby Shower Cake offer guests a fun and easy way to celebrate the joy and excitement of a new baby. We offer our heartfelt congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the newest addition to the Royal Family.”
