Chicago-based dairy company Fairlife has expanded its range of Core Power Original lactose-free protein drinks with the re-introduction of a coffee flavour.
Fairlife originally discontinued the coffee flavour, but have brought the drink back following a campaign from the brand’s core consumers.
Each 11.5oz bottle of Core Power Coffee contains 26g of protein, 19g of sugar, 85g of caffeine and 210 calories per serving.
The coffee flavour joins the four existing flavours in the range: chocolate, vanilla, banana, and strawberry banana.
Sue McCloskey, co-founder of Fairlife, LLC said: “The cult following for Core Power is strong among health-conscious athletes – from yogis and runners to weekend warriors and elite athletes – who want to build lean muscle and support healthy recovery.
“So much so that, after we discontinued the coffee flavour, we were inundated with passionate messages and inquiries from fans requesting that we bring back our oh-so-tasty caffeinated sports nutrition recovery drink.
“We credit our very vocal and committed fans with the return of the coffee flavour. The many pleas we received made it clear that the coffee culture is a very important one to our consumers and, because we are committed to meeting their needs, we are excited to launch Core Power Coffee.
“We want our fans to know that we’re listening and always dedicated to delivering flavours that offer the taste, nutrition, and value that only Fairlife can deliver.”
The new Core Power Coffee high-protein milk drink will be available nationwide from selected retailers in the US, with a suggested retail price of $2.99.
