Ferrero USA has announced the opening of a new distribution facility in Goodyear, Arizona, the second distribution site presented by the company in the last few months.
According to Ferrero, the 643,798 square-foot facility will open in mid-March and adds distribution capacity for confectionery products across the company’s brand portfolio, which includes Butterfinger, Baby Ruth, and Crunch.
In future, the facility will also handle the distribution of other Ferrero brands including Ferrero Rocher, Nutella, Tic Tac and Kinder, to support the company’s overall growth.
Ferrero USA opened another distribution centre in Jonestown, Pennsylvania, in November 2019, as the company aimed to enhance and expand its US distribution operations following the purchase of Nestlé’s US confectionery unit in 2018.
Paul Chibe, President and CEO of Ferrero North America, said: “Ferrero is investing in our presence and business in the US.
“We’re introducing new brands and innovations, hiring top talent, and opening state-of-the-art facilities like this new Goodyear distribution centre, all of which will help us continue to fuel the confectionery category.”
Luca Robbiano, vice-president, North America Supply Chain for Ferrero added: “The rapid development of our supply chain helps drive strong growth for Ferrero.
“Our new facilities in Pennsylvania and now Arizona represent important milestones in the expansion of our logistics capabilities in the market.”
