Confectionery retailer Fudge Kitchen has launched a new range of liquid fudge in three different flavour ways.
Launching next month, the liquid fudge is packaged in 235g–250g jars with a recommended retail price of £3.99. It is available in sea salted caramel, vanilla toffee, and rich chocolate varieties. The products are made in small batches, hand worked by creaming the liquid fudge for up to an hour on a warm marble slab to ensure Fudge Kitchen’s signature texture.
Just as fudge was first created as the result of a botched toffee-making demonstration, Fudge Kitchen’s new liquid fudge was conceived completely by accident by the company’s managing director. When Sian Holt tried vacuum packing the fudge, it imploded, creating a molten liquid that can be adapted as a spread, cake mix or dessert topping, among other applications.
Its introduction extends Fudge Kitchen’s series of innovation, with the number of new products released by the company exceeding 100 in just three years.
Holt said: “Over the last three years, Fudge Kitchen has been honing the skills of NPD and sugar magic, so it seemed a natural progression to explore further afield and push ourselves to embrace other opportunities that use many of the same base ingredients and for which there is either established demand, or that fit into current trends.
