Fudge Kitchen has announced the introduction of three sugar confectionery products, signalling the UK retailer’s first adventure away from fudge.
Under the brand name Delectables, the company will launch its Peanut Brittle, Fruit Caramels and Pecan Turtles varieties of reinterpreted confectionery classics. They will be made available in vibrantly packaged 150g size formats at prices between £5.50 and £6.50 in Fudge Kitchen’s seven UK stores.
The company describes the Pecan Turtles as “an American mainstay… a sublime combination of creamy caramel, thick milk chocolate and savoury crunch”; its Peanut Brittle as “a sweet snap of glassy caramel countered by the salty crunch of whole peanuts”; and its new Fruit Caramels as “a masterclass in combining flavour and texture”
Fudge Kitchen’s managing director, Sian Holt, said: “Over the last three years, Fudge Kitchen has been honing the skills of NPD and sugar magic, so it seemed a natural progression to explore further afield and push ourselves to embrace other opportunities that use many of the same base ingredients and for which there is either established demand, or that fit into current trends. Thus our new Delectables were born.”
