More cocoa has been added to Galaxy Instant and Galaxy Frothy Top. Early consumer feedback has been extremely positive, with specific praise for the sweet chocolate taste and smooth and creamy texture.
The new packaging has higher impact branding and clearer product differentiation, using a different colour palette for each sku.
Worth almost £5m at retail, Galaxy Instant hot chocolate continues to grow year-on-year and has a current market share of 16%. Galaxy Drinking Chocolate, the add-milk traditional hot chocolate, is also out-performing the market with growth of 15.8%, and Galaxy Frothy continues to shine with a year-on-year growth of 28%.
“Already a staple product for chocolate lovers, instant hot chocolate remains a key player in the hot beverage market,” said Michelle Frost, general manager for Mars. “We are always listening to our consumers and it is thanks to this feedback that we have delivered this new formulation, with a more creamy taste and texture.”
