Granola brand Lizi’s has launched a new gluten-free variant of its luxury granola to meet growing consumer demand within the free-from category.
The new granola contains oats that have been carefully selected to ensure that they have not been contaminated by other crops. The natural and healthy breakfast offering “keeps the great taste and healthiness associated with Lizi’s Granola, but without the gluten,” the brand said.
Launching in supermarkets Asda and Sainsbury’s in July, the new gluten-free granola variant will be available in a 400g size format with recommended retail price of £4.69.
Lizi’s Granola co-founder Mick Shaw said: “We’ve had requests to create a gluten-free version of our original granola for some time and we are delighted that we are now fulfilling that demand.
“Whilst coeliac disease and gluten intolerance is on the rise, so is the number of people looking to cut gluten from their diet as a lifestyle choice. With the launch of gluten-free, we can offer all these groups of people a healthy, nutritious breakfast option that doesn’t compromise on taste!”
