Griffith Foods ups UK presence with The Flavourworks buy

US-based product development group Griffith Foods has acquired UK food ingredient supplier The Flavourworks for an undisclosed sum.

The Flavourworks offers a wide range of flavoured butters and oils, marinades, glazes, rubs and sauces for UK retail, and is expanding to the foodservice sector. The Somerset-based company will be incorporated into Griffith Foods’ European and African division, with sister sites in Belgium, Spain, UK and South Africa.

With a presence in over 30 countries, Griffith Foods said that it has growth plans for over the coming decades, which will rely on “shared values, new technologies and partnerships to broaden knowledge, expertise and fuel innovation.”
