Patchwork Pâté, a British producer of handmade foods from the Welsh countryside, has released a limited edition Halloween Hummus. Based on the company’s classic hummus recipe, Halloween Hummus also includes a blend of roasted pumpkin, toasted cumin seeds and smokey chipotle chilli.
Margaret Carter, founder and CEO of Patchwork Pâté, said: “We love creating limited edition seasonal treats. So, come Friday 31 October, whether you’re throwing a ghoulish Halloween party or settling in under dimmed lights for a classic horror movie, enjoy it with Halloween Hummus.”
Founded in 1982, Patchwork Pâté began life with a startup fund of £9, invested from then single mother Margaret’s housekeeping funds. Today, the company occupies purpose-built kitchens in nearby Ruthin, where it employs 20 people.
Patchwork Pâté’s product range includes pâtés, chutneys and soups as well as sweet products such as ice creams and chocolate terrines. The company also offers hampers and guerrilla picnic packs for social occasions. Patchwork Pâté has won over 80 awards for its products and business ethos since its inception, including three gold stars for its Red Pesto Pâté and the Best Welsh Speciality Golden Fork award in the Great Taste Awards 2014.
