Drinks start-up Hello Hungry has launched a new crowdfunding campaign, as it looks to attract investors and gauge interest in its liquid meal.
Hello Hungry combines buckwheat and three unique blends of fruits and vegetables with omega-3 and essential vitamins and minerals, claiming to “keep you full for hours”. The ingredients were specially chosen to help with vision, brain and heart health – “the most common health issues that office people face”.
The liquid meal is billed as an alternative to unhealthy snacking options, and was developed by three London-based entrepreneurs who were tired of being stuck in an office without enough time to consume full and healthy meals.
It is available in strawberry, banana, carrot and beetroot; mango, peach and spinach; and tomato and basil varieties. Each 330ml serving provides up to 215 calories, and the brand’s founders have produced an initial batch of the drinks to gauge interest among prospective investors. They are offering seven distinct rewards packages, ranging from a three-pack of the new drink to a box of 120, in return for investments between $13 and $300. It is, in total, aiming to raise $30,000 on crowdfunding platform Indiegogo.
It added: “We believe we’ve created something special here, and we’re eager to share it with you. By launching this campaign we’ll get two things that are essential: your affirmation that Hello Hungry is needed, and your feedback and suggestions to make it perfect and available to all the office people around the world.”
And Hello Hungry’s head of business development Vytautas Savickas told FoodBev that “modern office conditions require modern food – Hello Hungry is a healthy office food alternative for busy professionals”.
