Cognac brand Hennessy has released the second in a series of limited editions called the Master Blender’s Selection.
Master Blender’s Selection N°2 is composed of eaux-de-vie that are at least ten years old, each one aged for 18 months in young coarse-grained French oak barrels before additional ageing takes place in older barrels.
Thanks to initial contact with young wood, the eaux-de-vie acquire unique flavours that come together over time in a harmonious and balanced blend, Hennessy said.
The cognac is bottled at 43%, known as ‘cask strength’, which gives it a distinct hue and aromatic tones defined by roundness with a hint of boldness.
The limited edition, blended only once in a single batch, will be available exclusively in the US during October with a suggested retail price of $92 for a squared 750ml bottle.
