Julie Impérato, marketing manager at Nexira, spoke to FoodBev’s Bryony Andrews about the company’s new brand Inavea and how it can help customers to improve their carbon footprint and sustainability credentials.
“The first range for the brand will be composed of pure acacia, and then we will enrich the portfolio with other ingredients, all based on acacia, offering synergistic combinations such as prebiotics or other health benefits. Consumers are looking for functional food and beverages – they want these health benefits but they are also aware of sustainability. They are looking for transparency through the ingredients.”
Acacia can meet all of these needs, Julie explained. “It is sustainably sourced in Africa, it’s a clean label ingredient, it’s all natural, it’s organic – and it beings a prebiotic effect to the final product.”
