FoodBev Media’s Harriet Jachec spoke with Ola Elmqvist, executive vice president processing solutions & equipment at Tetra Pak, to find out more about how their solutions are geared towards a more productive future for the dairy industry and beyond.
When asked about customised solutions and modularity, Elmqvist agreed that these elements of the ‘factory of the future’ can be applied to the wider food and beverage industry.
“If we talk about new installations and new line solutions, for us to be competitive we must be able to offer lines that are modularised, because we cannot re-engineer everything all the time. When it comes to mechanical solutions and automation solutions, they have to be the building blocks that we build together. We can also then offer the customer different solutions in order for them to choose which building blocks could be applied to [their] solutions.”
