Kraft Heinz’s Planters brand will reintroduce its Cheez Ball and Cheez Curls products for a limited time after a 12-year absence, following a campaign by fans of the products.
Available nationwide in the US from July, Planters Cheez Balls will be packaged in 2.75oz cans, while the Cheez Curls will be packaged in 4oz cans.
Kraft Heinz said that the products were reintroduced partially thanks to a consumer campaign, whereby fans of the discontinued products started petitions, created online groups and wrote letters asking for the products to be reintroduced.
Planters head of brand building Melanie Huet said: “We heard many impassioned pleas for us to bring Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls back over the years and we wanted to give our fans a chance to reunite with their most-missed cheesy snack.
“We made sure our Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls still have the same delicious taste, airy texture and fluorescent colour you know and love, so our fans can enjoy a nostalgic trip down memory lane with every canister.”
Both products will have a suggested retail price of $1.99.
