Mamee Snacks has launched a new line of light and crispy stackable potato crisps, similar to Pringles, in the US market.
Packed in canisters, the new crisps are available in three different varieties: original, “simply enhanced with a touch of salt”; “sweet and smoky” barbecue; and “perfectly tangy” sour cream and onion. The snacks will start shipping to US retailers and distributors nationwide this month.
Mamee stacked potato crisps are perfect for a range of snacking occasions, with a “nostalgic shape” that packs all the flavour of traditional stacked crisps but without the artificial flavours, gluten or GMOs, Mamee said.
“Stacked potato crisps have long been an American staple, but questionable ingredients as well as the dietary restrictions of many modern day consumers have caused people to abandon the ‘can’ for more natural options in the snacking aisle,” said Matt Parry, director of sales and marketing for Mamee. “Our new Mamee stacked crisps are welcoming snackers back to the category, by combining the insanely delicious taste of traditional stacked crisps with a cleaner ingredient profile and trusted benefits shoppers demand, like gluten-free and GMO-free.”
The new crisps will be available from select grocers and natural food retailers across the US with a retail price of $3.49 each.
