Natural energy drink brand Pussy has unveiled a host of new changes, including an updated can design and revised price point.
The changes are a response to eight months of strategic brand insight work in partnership with creative marketing agency Inkling. Following a £2.2m investment, it has revealed a new brand positioning – based on the tagline Fuel Your Inner Outrageousness – in time for this summer’s peak sales period.
The new can now illustrates Pussy’s unique flavour blend with the inclusion of passionfruit and lime cues on the front, and new product information appearing on can. Pussy is made from 100% natural ingredients, which the brand claimed set it apart from its competitors and opened the energy drinks category up to “the 73% of consumers who express interest in all-natural energy drinks”.
A new price-marked can will also be available this month in 12 packs of 250ml cans with a recommended wholesale price of £4.99.
Pussy Natural Energy founder Jonnie Shearer said: “After months of talking to our consumers to understand what they truly love about our brand, we’re excited to unveil our new Outrageous positioning which captures the essence, playfulness and purpose of our brand. We’ve also listened to the demand from our trade partners by offering the new tray size and price point to support them as we go into the summer months, which is always our strongest time for sales.”
