The new multipacks are intended to grow the Beanz category, particularly when combined with the £4m investment Heinz has injected into marketing the Heinz Beanz brand this year.
The packs are being produced at the Heinz Wigan factory in the UK, which has received significant investment in new technology, making this new five-pack possible.
“Leading on another first for the industry is an incredibly exciting moment for us,” said marketing manager Rafi Arkin. “Having been limited previously by technology, we now have the facilities to provide five-can multipacks, which give consumers and retailers greater choice.
“While multipacks have always been a good source of value for money, consumers were previously bound by four- and six-can family packs. The new five-packs add further flexibility, ensuring we are able to fulfil varying consumer demand.”
