Juice brand Plenish has expanded its range of dairy-free milk alternatives with the launch of what it called the UK’s first organic and long-life hazelnut milk.
The dairy substitute is created with just three simple, sustainably sourced ingredients: gently roasted organic hazelnuts, filtered water and a pinch of sea salt. It contains no rice, oils, sweeteners, preservatives or fillers; the result, Plenish said, is a nut milk with a much higher concentration of nuts than the competition.
Plenish has also launch Elevate, a nutritionally rich, organic and cold-pressed drink that harnesses the anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric, together with ginger, almonds and black pepper. It too is dairy-free, made with a base of organic almond milk.
Elevate has been produced using nutritionally rich organic ingredients, and consequently is packed with natural and vibrant nutrients including turmeric and coconut nectar. Sweet tasting yet naturally low in sugar, it contains protein to help maintain healthy bones and muscles, plus vitamin E to protect cells from oxidative stress.
The innovative developments will help Plenish to target a portion of the rapidly growing £74 million dairy-free milk category.
Plenish founder Kara Rosen said: “We are delighted to expand our range and broaden the UK’s dairy-free offering. Demand for delicious tasting, innovative and organic drinks are on the rise in Britain and both Elevate and the long-life organic hazelnut M*lk are designed to [be incorporated] into daily life, so consumers can harness the associated health and wellbeing benefits.”
All premium Plenish products are organic and free from dairy, gluten, preservatives, additives and refined sugars.
The long-life nut milk has a recommended retail price of £3.49 for a 1 litre carton, while the cold-pressed juices have a recommended price of £4.95 for a 250ml grab-and-go bottle. They are available in the UK through the brand’s retail partners, including Whole Foods Market and Ocado.
