Medicated confectionery brand Halls will launch a new television advertising campaign tomorrow, in an attempt to help consumers rediscover its invigorating effects.
The 20-second advertisement features a moustachioed motorcyclist, who releases several miniature moustachioed polar bears on a cloud of air after he puts a Halls sweet into his mouth. Mondelēz International, which owns the Halls brand, said that it captures the “powerful cooling sensation delivered… in those everyday moments when you want to feel jus that little bit more alive”.
It will be supported by video-on-demand, out-of-home, digital and social media campaigns beginning tomorrow, as Halls – worth more than £31m and accounting for nearly a third of the medicated confectionery market – seeks to improve its market position.
Elena Mallo, senior brand manager for Halls, said: “The new equity campaign really communicates the intense cooling sensation delivered by Halls, for a more invigorating breathing experience. It’s humorous and engaging, and we think it’s going to get Halls to the top of consumer’s minds at a key period in the year.
