British food group Pork Farms has unveiled three new savoury pastries designed “to reflect emerging food trends” as part of its Wall’s brand.
The new variants include barbecue chicken and cheese, steak and cheese, and pepperoni pizza slices – all with a recommended retail price of £1.79.
The Nottingham-based company has also introduced enlarged versions of its chicken and mushroom, chicken and bacon, chick tikka, peppered steak, and ham and cheese slices – as well as a new, larger format of its jumbo sausage roll. All variants have relaunched into convenience stores with on-pack messaging making it clear that consumers get “25% extra free” as part of the offering.
Pork Farms said that the changes were a result of it making “NPD a key focus for all areas of the business over the next year”.
The company’s head of markets, Kim Burgess, said: “The team of chefs at Pork Farms combine culinary excellence and knowledge of emerging food trends with detailed category and consumer insight.
“We’re determined to deliver flavour combinations that keep consumer interest in the category and provide an end product of the highest quality.”
