Adult soft drinks brand Shloer has introduced a new flavour for its 2015 autumn and winter seasonal limited-edition punch.
Crammed with delicious red grape, crisp apples and sumptuous blackberry flavours, Shloer apple and blackberry punch becomes the latest in Shloer’s series of limited-edition punches, which herald the changing seasons and bring some sparkle and theatre to the adult soft drinks fixture.
The new line is being rolled out this month in multiples including Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Tesco and Asda – and will be supported by high-profile social media and consumer PR campaigns. Packaged in 750ml glass bottles, it will have the same £2.25 recommended retail price as the same-size Shloer sparkling no-alcohol juice range, and replaces the previous strawberry punch limited edition.
SHS Drinks marketing director, soft drinks Amanda Grabham said: “Following their launch in 2011, Shloer’s punch limited editions have proved to be very popular with consumers and they have also added interest and brought some excitement and theatre to the adult soft drinks fixture and they are continuing to build momentum each season.
“In the past 12 months Shloer punch limited editions have generated almost £2m’s worth of sales through multiple grocers with the Shloer brand increasing both volume and value sales by 3%. And that growth has accelerated and more than doubled during the summer months with 12-week volume sales from end-May to mid-August growing by 7% in an adult soft drinks category which has had a pretty flat summer in performance terms.
“After Shloer berry punch being our steadfast autumn/winter seasonal limited edition for the past four years, we’re ringing the changes this year with a new apple and blackberry flavour which captures of the mellow fruitfulness of the harvest season, and is sure to be a hit with consumers.”
