Natural energy drink brand Tenzing has launched a new beverage that combines caffeine, vitamin C and electrolytes with a fusion of British raspberries and Japanese yuzu.
Tenzing raspberry and yuzu is now available in the UK in 250ml cans with a recommended retail price of £1.29.
With 48 calories per can, the beverage contains 100% natural ingredients: Himalayan rock salt, Indian gooseberry, green coffee, lemon juice, green tea, beet sugar, raspberry and yuzu.
Tenzing was launched in 2015 by ex-Red Bull marketer Huib van Bockel in partnership with Jamling Tenzing Norgay, the son of Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, who was the first man to climb Mount Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary.
To create a natural energy alternative, van Bockel spent a year travelling the world and researching the core natural ingredients for the energising drink. It was during this time he discovered the uplifting brew of the Himalayan Sherpas. This inspired both the recipe and brand name.
“When we launched Tenzing, we wanted to set the new norm; an energising drink that is both natural and lower in sugar,” said van Bockel.
“We thought the best way to do so was with one single product. We’ve created a new flavour profile for people – one that is not synthetically sweet, but light and refreshing.”
Earlier this year, the brand unveiled a new look and launched its first out-of-home marketing campaign.
